Farewell Xanga

This is a general announcement that I will no longer be updating this Xanga with any regular purpose. I must confess that I have all but stopped checking Xanga. Why? The short list is because I stopped copying all of my posts over from Livejournal, and then I got lazy and stopped putting updates here at all. I have not been posting much lately anyway, so you have not missed much.

As for checking your Xanga, I have sicced Bloglines after most of you so I can keep tabs on what is happening in your life. I am mostly lurking around, however, so do not expect many comments. If your blog has not been updated in a long time, I probably did not bother to add you to my list at Bloglines because I was lazy. Sorry.

Since Xanga has stopped emailing me about comments here, the best way to drop me a note is to email me or post a comment at Livejournal. Find my email address from a friend or ask me for it if you do not have it yet.

The last set of posts at my Livejournal are these:
Texas: Update
Taxes
The Tree Killer

TTFN,
MrHen.

it is quite obvious you don't check your myspace either. i am ok with that. i talk to you enough that i don't depend on myspace or xanga to communicate with you.

The line "My arrogant annoyance and their patriotic pride do not mix well" in your Texas update made me smile. Very big.

Not surprising to see you turn you back on Xanga...I think it's dying, and have joined MySpace myself. Can't bring myself to shut down my Xanga site though - Probably too sentimental for that, or something.
Give Abby a very big hug for me next time you see her, would you? It's quite a shame she lives so far from me...I guess I'll have to come see you all sometime...

Hey Adam -

whats up. I didn't expect anyone to agree... my taste is narrow and overly critical to most. O well.

On a "Christian" note, Jars of Clay always seems to move me. They don't just blurt out spiritual-sounding stuff, but put life and God into a poetic, talented mix.  Classics like James Taylor - some U2, Bon Jovi, Kearney. Alot of Oldies with the Temps, Credance Clearwater and that fun stuff. Nickle Creek is one of purest talents, both in writing and playing. I never was into Jesus Freak or the early Christian stuff...we were one of the "drum-shunners" in my early years.:) I grew up with mostly classical and worship stuff, but it's really been drained of it's content and appeal to me.
